The Bell Buckle Park has transcended from architectural renderings to reality. Today the park features a one half mile asphalt walking trail, the Ward Anderson Playground, a picnic pavilion, a Poet’s Garden, and much more! Bell Buckle Park has become a vital, vibrant center of the town. The eagerly anticipated amphitheater has broken ground with a hoped for completion in the Spring of 2008.
In 1996, the town of Bell Buckle voted for a 1/2 cent sales tax to establish a park fund. In 2002, after the old Bell Buckle School and surrounding fourteen acres were officially designated as the Bell Buckle Park site, a survey was conducted to discover the interests, needs and desires of the community for their park. |

Bell Buckle Park is proud to be an integral part of the Town of Bell Buckle’s Tree City USA program with a Memorial and Honorary tree program. Dozens of trees have been planted at the park with brick markers honoring and remembering loved ones. The Park offers opportunities for all to enjoy. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy the serene beauty of the park or take advantage of the healthful benefits of a brisk walk on the walking trail or have fun at the Ward Anderson Playground. For large groups, the picnic pavilion may be rented (see information sidebar for more information). Planned activities are scheduled normally during the warm months including our annual 4th of July Celebration, Gospel Sings, Play Days featuring instruction on aspects of theatrical productions, and so on. The Bell Buckle Park Board hopes that the park is an enjoyable venue for all who visit. The Park Board strives to continue to create a unique place addressing the fundamental needs of our community and celebrate the spirit of Bell Buckle. |
